The Conference was attended by more than 300 people: leaders of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Russian federal executive bodies, business associations, industry representatives, the scientific community, foreign guests.
Among the speakers there were President of the Russian Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs A. Shokhin, First Deputy Minister of industry and trade of Russian Federation G. Nikitin, head of the Federal Agency on technical regulation and metrology A. Abramov, Chairman of RSPP Committee on technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment D. Pumpyanskiy.
Already from new positions at the conference their presentations were made by the Deputy Minister of economic development S. Shipov and head of the Federal service for accreditation A. Khersontsev.
Beyond foreign participants were: Elena Santiago Cid, General director of CEN / CENELEC, Vincent Laflech, President-elect of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), Antoinette Pitteloud, Executive Assistant to the Secretary-General of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), officer on Foreign Affairs, Alka Panda, Director-General of the Bureau of Indian standards.

The main topic of the discussion was the status of the implementation of the Russian Federal law “On Standardization in the Russian Federation” came into force on July 1, 2016 and the opportunities for economic development provided. This Conference was one of events in a series of activities of RSPP Committee and Rosstandart on this regard.
Main presentations focusing on the practical implementation of the law at the Conference was made by G.Nikitin and A. Abramov.
Also the issues on product certification and conformity assessment were discussed. At the General RSPP Meeting in March this year it was suggested to implement the domestic notification procedure for conformity assessment bodies, this idea was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Conference in the framework of “INNOPROM” became one of the sites for discussing business proposals on the formation of notification system with Federal authorities.
This topic was, inter alia, touched in speeches of A. Hersontsev, A. Lotsmanov, first Deputy Chairman of RSPP Committee on technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment, A. Mednikov, General Director of CJSC “Rostest”.
Conference also focused on the prospects for the development of international standardization. Despite the sanctions and the reducing of the turnover European companies interested in cooperation with Russia. International standardization is an important tool for its successful development.
The participation of leaderships of international organizations on standardization at the conferences held within “INNOPPROM” has already become a tradition. The events made by RSPP Committee and Rosstandart became another credible and effective platform for discussing the problems of international cooperation in the field of standardization.
After the Conference foreign guests, representatives of the Russian authorities and of RSPP Committee visited the plant “Ural locomotives” in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. It is a modern production created by “Sinara group” together with “SIEMENS AG”. During the visit to the manufacturing the specialists gave information about the practice of adapting to international and European standards and engineering solutions to Russian conditions and requirements of Russian regulatory framework. The given examples illustrated the need of joint work on new standards by experts from international, European and Russian technical committees.
