MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Product certification bodies can postpone the period of inspection control for products from countries with a poor epidemiological situation for six months. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of economic development.
"Certification bodies and applicants for mandatory certification during the period associated with the spread of COVID-19, explained the possibility of postponing the inspection control period for six months, recommended measures and actions in the event of the expiration of the serial certificate, as well as during the certification of products that are first released into circulation," - noted in the Department.
The recommendations were developed by Russian Ministry of industry and trade and Russian Ministry of economic development together with Rosaccreditation.
The recommendations can also be applied to products manufactured in the Russian Federation, if the applicant has the appropriate consent.
It is also recommended that certification bodies temporarily suspend the provision of services to applicants for the analysis of the state of production and sampling.
The recommendations note that these measures are associated with a limited opportunity for experts to travel to the production site to conduct mandatory procedures for analyzing the state of production and sampling.
