The Russian-Chinese Conference on Trade Promotion of Machinery and Technical Equipment and Innovative Products was held at Expocentre Fairgrounds on October 26, 2023. The conference was attended by enterprises of the machine-building complex, thermal power engineering, participants and exhibitors of the VI International Exhibition of Equipment, Services, innovations for industrial Enterprises of various industries and their uninterrupted heat supply. The event was held under the auspices of the Russian-Chinese Chamber.
Welcoming words were addressed to the participants of the event: Chairman of the Chinese part of the Russian-Chinese Chamber, Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Import and Export of Machine-Technical and Electronic Products Zhang Yujing; Deputy Chairman of the RSPP Committee for International Cooperation, Chairman of the Intersectoral Subcommittee on Foreign Economic Projects Oleg Shutenko.
Sergey Gorsky, General Director of Gefera Media LLC, noted the growing level of interaction between the countries and the high interest of Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs in practical events that allow expanding business.
The Executive Secretary of the Chinese part of the Russian-Chinese Chamber, Sheng Guofei, in his greeting to the Conference participants, expressed confidence in the development of cooperation, including the positive growth of trade in machine-technical and innovative products.
The event was attended by Maxim Zakharov, Head of the Moscow-Beijing Business Cooperation Center of the Delovaya Rossiya MROO; Vladimir Remyga, Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Interaction with Business Associations of Asian Countries of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICPP).
Chinese projects and enterprises were presented by Han Xuemei, General Director of Huamin Solutions International Travel LLC; Zhang Wu, representative of Far East Star Trade Development Co., Ltd; Wang Yixin Ying, representative of Huayue International Corporation.
At the plenary session of the conference, Andrey Lotsmanov, Deputy Co-Chairman of the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, Chairman of the Council for Technical Regulation and Standardization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, made a report "Tasks for the integration of technical regulation and standardization systems between the EAEU and the PRC (BRICS and SCO)".
He noted that over the past years, the RSPP Committee has accumulated extensive experience in cooperation with international, regional and national standardization organizations of the European Union countries, established close cooperation with colleagues from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Using the experience of cooperation with the EU, Russia needs to work on the convergence of technical regulation and standardization systems with the BRICS and SCO countries, in particular with China.
Since 2006, the Committee has been participating in the activities of the intergovernmental working group on standardization of the two countries. During this time, a number of joint events of the RSPP Committee and the standardization bodies of China have been held. In 2017, an agreement on cooperation between the RSPP Committee and the Institute for Russian Standards of Heilongjiang Province was signed. This year, a meeting was held on the establishment of a Standardization Center in Harbin.
Andrey Lotsmanov noted the steadily increasing importance and authority of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in recent years, the urgent need for convergence of technical regulation and standardization systems within the framework of BRICS.
He also stressed the significant role of public organizations in these processes, in particular, the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation and the RSPP Department for Bilateral and Multilateral International Cooperation.
Moderator of the conference, Head of the Center for Strategic Development of the Russian-Chinese Chamber, member of the Committee for International Cooperation of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Pavel Ustyuzhaninov expressed his gratitude to the organizers, partners, speakers and participants, as well as the heads of the Chinese and Russian parts of the Chamber for such an urgent and fruitful event.
